  • Understand the underlying reasons and context behind the numbers
  • Learn that openness with data fosters confidence and stronger support
  • Be able to transform data into practical steps that lead to lasting results

Summary

Chazin's Jackie McLaughlin, CPA, delivers a 60-minute interactive webinar that equips association professionals with the skills to turn financial data into compelling, mission-driven narratives. Jackie draws on 35+ years of accounting expertise to walk participants through each core financial statement
(the Statement of Activities, Statement of Financial Position, and Statement of Cash Flows) and shows exactly how each one tells a distinct part of an organization's story.

Through real association participants learn to reframe program expenses as investment in members, link spending to outcomes, and present financial information in ways that build stakeholder trust and drive better decisions.

Participants receive a suite of ready-to-use tools (including a Financial Storytelling Framework Worksheet and a Data Visualization Best Practices Guide) that they can apply in their next board meeting or partner presentation.
